Introducing the "happy hippos"!  After singing a song and reading a story about hippos we made hippo hats to reinforce the sound for letter Hh.

Center Time Fun!!!!!

Cold winter days make for some fun and creative centers!!!We've had lots of designing, building, stacking, engineering, figuring and inventing in our classroom the last few days!!!  They are always so proud of their creations!  Although we love to work in centers we miss going to the playground!!!

Our Birthday Boy!

We had a very special birthday boy!  Dominic turned 6 years old!  He had a great day and even brought yummy birthday cupcakes for all his Clifford friends!  Happy Birthday Dominic!

Landry was so excited to take Clifford home for the weekend! He asked everyday if it was the day  to take Clifford home! We can hardly wait to find out what Landry and Clifford will do all weekend!  I know they will have fun!

Something to "crow" about!!

"Cock-a-doodle-doo, everybody came to school!!! We love to crow like a rooster when everyone comes to school. Our school is having a contest to help improve student attendance. The class that has the best attendance will be awarded a surprise!!!!! So let's make sure and come to school everyday!!!!

WELCOME BACK!!

IT'S 2013 AND WE ARE EXCITED!

WE HAVE HAD A GREAT START TO THE NEW YEAR. THE STUDENTS WERE SO EXCITED TO SEE ALL THEIR FRIENDS. THEY EACH SHARED STORIES ABOUT THEIR HOLIDAYS AND ESPECIALLY THEIR FAVORITE CHRISTMAS GIFT!!! I THINK ALL OUR FRIENDS HAD A GREAT HOLIDAY! WE LEARNED ABOUT PENGUINS TODAY AND FOUND OUT THAT THERE ARE 17 DIFFERENT KINDS OF PENGUINS. WE KNOW THAT THE MOM AND DAD PENGUINS BOTH TAKE CARE OF THE BABY PENGUIN. MOMMA PENGUINS FEED THEIR BABY CHICKS BY REGURGITATING A MEAL FOR IT. THE DADDY PENGUINS KEEP THE BABY CHICK WARM BY TUCKING IT UNDER A FLAP ON HIS BELLY. AFTER LEARNING ABOUT PENGUINS WE MADE OUR OWN PENGUIN TO DECORATE OUR HALL!
