Which came first...the chicken or the egg?
We decided that is a hard question to answer!
We've had an "egg-cellent" week learning about
birds and eggs!
We learned that all birds must have feathers, 2 wings, and lay eggs. We found out that birds are not the only ones that lay eggs. We know the largest bird is the ostrich and the smallest is the hummingbird! We identified birds of prey, song birds, wading birds, and land birds. We examined a real chicken egg and found the yolk, the egg white, the shell, the chalaza, the air sack and the albumen.
We are ready to hatch our eggs!
Then, we talked about where the Easter Bunny gets all the eggs to hide on Easter! Here's what we think...

Emma-he buys them at HEB and then he paints them like an artist.
Brielle- he gets them at a fancy store.
Payton Galipp- he takes the yolk out and puts candy in them to give to us.
Jayda- he gets them from Santa.
Hennah- he probably lays them.
Joshua- he finds the leftover ones and then he brings them to your house.
Mikey- he gets the eggs from Walmart.
John- from his chickens at his home.
Mark- he steals them from a store when they aren't looking.
Austin- from the ground.
Dominic- from a hen that doesn't sit on her eggs anymore. Then he paints them.
Angel- he finds them at the people's house.
Colton- The Easter Factory.
Madilynn- from the Easter lady. Then he paints them and puts candy in them.
Landry- from HEB and Walmart but he has some from last year at his house too.
Mia M.- from the trees.
Anthony- in a home.
Talaijah- all of his friends get eggs and put them in a tunnel for him.
We loved learning about all kinds of birds!
We decided to feed the birds at Carver!
Payton Glasgow- from the Easter people, I saw a movie about it!
London- from an Easter store!
