EARTH DAY!

HAPPY EARTH DAY!!

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE... those are the words we learned today as we talked about Earth day.  Learning how to protect our planet
is important to all of us.

Our school has a recycling program that we have been participating in for several months.  We recycle white paper by putting all white paper in our classroom recycling box!

We all want to be Planet Pals and do our part to make the Earth a clean place to live!
After learning the PLANET PAL poem, each student made his/her own PLANET PAL!
Planet Pal says, Please listen friends,
We need your help so the earth can mend.
We all must try to care for the planet,
Trees and animals and everything on it.
If we keep the earth safe and squeaky clean,
Living things will be healthy and everything green!

We"reused" newspaper and made our very own hats to wear on our Earth walk around our school!

And then we went on our
Earth Day Scavenger Hunt!
We found fuzzy things!

And rocks!

Carefully reading the scavenger list!
"Look", I found a stick!
We found everything on the list!

Mia found something straight!

 Scavenger hunting is fun!
 Another completed scavenger hunt!
 We LOVE  our Earth!

We even found lots of green things!

We sang Happy Birthday to the Earth and  enjoyed an Earth Day snack... an Earth cupcake!

WE PLEDGE TO BE A FRIEND TO THE EARTH EVERYDAY!!
