Gun SafetyLesson!

We had a special visitor, Ms. Anita come to our school today.  She told us how important it is for us to be safe at all times.  First she talked about gun safety.  

Her friend Eddie Eagle told us when you see a gun:

"Stop!  Don't touch!  Run Away! Tell an adult!" 

We also learned three important reasons we need rules:

1. To keep us safe

2. To Protect us

3. To Maintain Order

Then we played a "whale" game where we followed directions to make an over and under pattern with our friends.  It was fun!
Ms. Anita also taught us that we should respect one another.  We practiced by turning to our friends and shaking hands. 
We can't wait to see Ms. Anita for another safety lesson in first grade!
