WORMS, WORMS WORMS

WE READ A FUNNY STORY ABOUT A WORM. WE LEARNED THAT WORMS HELP OUR EARTH BY DIGGING AND LETTING AIR INTO THE SOIL!  WORMS DON'T HAVE LEGS OR WINGS OR EYES!  WORMS MOVE BECAUSE THEY HAVE SEGMENTED BODIES!
WE USED A FEATHER TO SEE IF OUR WORM WAS TICKLISH
WE USED CUBES TO MEASURE HOW LONG OUR WORMS WERE
THIS WORM WAS NINE CUBES LONG!
THIS WORM WAS 4 CUBES LONG!

WORMS LIKE CRAWLING EVEN ON A FEATHER!
EVEN GIRLS LIKE WORMS!
"IT FEELS WIGGLY"
"LOOK IT'S CURLING UP IN MY HAND"
WE EVEN HAD A FEW THAT WANTED TO EAT A WORM!!!!

HOW ABOUT A WORM BRACELET!
"I LOVE MY WORM MRS. RAEMSCH!"

THE STUDENTS LOVED EXPLORING THEIR WORMS!  WE PLAN TO RELEASE OUR WORMS INTO THE SCHOOL GARDEN AT THE END OF THE WEEK.  WE HAVE FED THEM COFFEE GRINDS AND LETTUCE SO THEY ARE HAPPY FOR NOW!
